Criminal records breed discrimination and no one cares because they think we deserve it. Called it upon our own lives when we made the mistake that lead us inside.

Funny thing is ONLY those who get CAUGHT must live with the consequence of a criminal record.

Those that made mistakes But by the Grace of God and the skin of their teeth didn’t get caught- can shake their fingers in judgment and deny people who have made mistakes on the RECORD fair opportunities to coexist in a safe, stable and equitable way.

But the thing about those of us who have made mistakes and paid both publicly and privately is, you can discriminate against us all day long but YOU can’t and won’t keep us out! Nor will you keep us down.

One thing about us is we are SURVIVORS and just because you CLOSE a door to us doesn’t mean 10 People better than you won’t open them.

God is with those who need him and call on him and God is with those who genuinely treat others with the love he instilled in us.

If you’re not doing that… then it’s you who I sympathize with. My record is nothing compared to the parallel your soul is in.
