What strategies do you use to cope with negative feelings?
The best strategy that I have developed is remembering that every time I give into somebody else’s bad behavior, I’m giving my power to them. I’m letting them dictate or control what I do and how I feel.
So when I stop and consider, and I really think about my options, I can carefully strategize ways to overcome without causing more harm to myself or getting myself deeper in a hole.
I don’t know if that makes sense to other people, but I had no power for so long that today. My best option is to think through stuff.
