Gift to self- flea collars

So let me tell you why my new Seresto flea collars is a gift to myself!

I spent most of my bonus from work on seven of them : six for my cats one, one for the dog we are fostering for one of our daughters.

Why would I spend my bonus?

Something that I worked for diligently all year and I totally completely earned? Why wouldn’t I go and get my roots touched up – God knows they need it. Or why wouldn’t I go and do something nice for myself?

Well, I did do something nice for myself. I know it seems like I did something for my cats because I got them flea collars and now they don’t have to itch and suffer and go through things like biting and scratching their selves trying to get fleas off of them. By the way currently they don’t have any this is precautionary. but Because it is summertime and one of the things my cats do is run out the Door.

We’re in between putting up screen doors right now because we took the old ones down over two years ago thinking that we were gonna put the new ones up right away but then we realized that we needed the frames for them as well . Believe it or not life’s been so busy we still haven’t got around to it. Crazy because we have the brand new doors in the garage from Home Depot just waiting for us to remember to order the frames and the bottom line is the cats can just run out as soon as we open the storm door because like I’ve been explaining there’s no screen door right now. long story short people think that cause I’m white like that makes me immune-that I’m so privileged and I’ve never experienced anything- but let me tell you I have.

In fact the reason that I feel like I gave myself a gift by buying these cat collars is because Since I have come home, we have experienced every kind of bug there is and every landlord that we ever moved in their house lied to us !!

Even when the landlords didn’t lie to us, we’ve gone through stuff because of being pet owners. I’ve tried other collars, so many collars but never has any color worked. The Seresto collars do work although they are really expensive. They know their stuff works and I think it’s messed up because I feel like that’s preying on the customers a little bit but then again I don’t really have any idea of what goes into making it like the cosmic that the chemicals or anything like that, so I can’t really judge, but I kinda am But anyways Seresto, if you’re reading this and really listening lower, the price is a little make it more affordable, especially for people with multiple cats . Create a 6 pack that’s like $149.00 at least make a multiple cat package that’s affordable. But your asking do they work ? Hell yes they do.

Here’s how I know ? Like a year ago-within a week of my cats getting outside, our house was infested with fleas. The cats kept escaping running outside every time this door with no screen door opened and they were rolling around in the grass cause they just love it -soon as they’re out there, they’re all celebrating freedom-They were looking so cute. I just left them nieve to the idea of fleas and boy did I get introduced. I brought them back in our house riding on the kitty’s backs. Within a week Our whole house had fleas. IMAGINE six times THE CATS- All of your cats spread it to each other and then the house. We had to literally spend I forgot how much on those bombs for 11 rooms in our house which cost like $1 million that we didn’t have especially because it was Covid season and my dumb butt quit my job right before I move because I was gonna be living in Waterbury and my job was in Manchester and I wouldn’t have been able to go back-and-forth from Waterbury to Manchester every day so I resigned and then two weeks later. Covid happen. That was the same time the fleas happened. And This million dollar flea bomb didn’t work. We literally had to spend a day in our with cats in cages for nothing on top of it.

Then we ended up calling somebody to come and do it . The guy got to our house and had found out that we just got over Covid for the second time and wouldn’t step foot in our house! He ended up having Joey go in using his chemicals and gear- thank God Joey has experience in extermination from when he was a maintenance man.

IT wasn’t until then that I started buying the Seresto collars at my neighbors recommendation.

Thanks Prudence. Once I got the Seresto collar, I never had to deal with that again.

I don’t wanna leave you hanging on what I said earlier about some of the bug experiences I’ve had. I did tell you that I’ve experienced every kind of bug there is let me tell you the first experience that I had with bugs when I first came home is me and my stepfather went around and we were looking for an apartment for me And Joey and we were looking for an apartment and my stepfather was very very adamant about making sure it doesn’t have cockroaches making sure it doesn’t have bedbugs or any of the kind of bugs that nasty buildings or apartments or slums end up with. Greg specifically asked the landlord do you have any kinds of bugs or anything? The landlord straight up lied 🤥 in both our faces. Just imagine when Joey and I first met he and the kids were just coming from Florida. He wasn’t planning to stay in Connecticut. His relationship broke up. He ended up with three kids on his own me – imagine me at that time was just coming out of prison. He needed a place to live so we took the landlords word.

We should’ve known by the street was on. I don’t know what’s wrong with us- you could tell by just looking-Hopkins St., Waterbury CT. If any of you know it , you understand !!

REMEMBER I just got out of jail. I just met Joey while I was in a halfway house, then I lived with my mom for a little bit on medical parole and then I moved in with Joey to this new apartment so you know you can imagine I was desperate to move in with him And before that he was staying with family members in Connecticut and he didn’t have any of his furniture or any of the things that he owned it was all still in Florida. So when we got together literally starting from Scratch.

The last thing that we expected was to have bedbug , but apparently the landlord had put flooring or carpeting over flooring where bedbugs were around,

So all of the new furniture we acquired had to be thrown out!! I didn’t know anything about tenants rights or anything like that because remember I serve 23 years in jail. The only thing I ever did if I had issues in my living quarters was right the counselor and ask for a room change . I had no idea we could’ve possibly did anything instead we got rid of all the stuff that we got . We had to wash things for days and dry them and spend so much money dealing with!

That was the first bug related trauma we endured together. The second trauma was a little girl in Sierras class ended up having lice- then so she brought it home unknowingly And of course, who would end up catching it ? Me with my long thick hair. The lice hit the jackpot. so yeah so I experienced lice !! and then when we moved to New Britain, another t landlord lied said they didn’t have anything and I experienced cockroaches. Ugh 😩

The when we became homeowners, we saw these little things that look like flying ants apparently 8 million of them got in my house one day through my front door and we’re lined up like a massive army. I thought that they were flying in, but apparently they weren’t. They were termites. Now we have termite traps all around our yard. So trust me bugs have been bugging me since I came home. If I can do something to prevent our family from another bug trauma I will- even if it cost close to $500. It’s worth it. But damn Seresto consider that package deal!!
