apparently I need to explain-flash fiction for any dumber than usual people who assume that this poem is written from a first person perspective. First person would be from my perspective like if It was my perspective I was writing from. Fiction is obviously MADE UP and not true, and flash is a type of noir writing that kind of happens fast and is written to shock the reader or take them by surprise. While in prison there was a prison noir flash fiction writing competition that I wanted to enter. So I wrote a piece about the thing that would surprise readers the most. A Warden who is free and in control of an entire population of people being but who just murdered his wife for adultery. This is written from the Warden’s perspective but the reader doesn’t know that until the end. The piece intentionally assumes the reader will assume the speaker in the piece is an inmate- because of where the story is set and that a crime was being confessed. It’s a sophisticated twist.

Unfortunately there are idiots well one in particular who has read this piece and going around doing dumb stuff like pasting it on their Facebook page without the full context trying to make me look like this was about my crime and that I have no remorse.

I assure you this was NOTHING similar to the crime that I was involved in nor was it written from my perspective.

I will not remove the piece. I worked hard on this piece and I hope that if you saw her post and you believed it you would kindly stop following my page- because anyone who knows me knows I have infinite remorse for my part in my actual crime but I also know God has Forgiven me!
